The
following tests were prepared to assist new drivers in
obtaining the Commercial Driver License (CDL). They are
not the tests that the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles
(DMV) will administer. They are for practice and study
only, prior to taking the real test at the DMV.
Before
you take any of the tests, read and study the appropriate
section of a current CDL manual that is issued by your
state. Then take the test. Then compare your answers
to the answer sheet that follows the last test. All
test questions are multiple choice. There is only one
correct answer. The correct answer is in the appropriate
section of the CDL manual.
Some
tips on taking multiple choice exams:
Read
the question slowly and carefully. Make sure you understand
what is being asked. For example, does the question
say "which of the following is correct" or
which of the following is not correct". Big difference!
Read all of the choices before making your selection.
Don't take the first one that looks right.
If you have difficulty selecting a correct answer, try
eliminating those that you are sure are not correct.
This will reduce the number of choices in case you have
to make a "guess".
After making your selection, read through it again to
make sure you did not misunderstand.
