The hours of service wildfire waiver has been extended through FMCSA for another 30 days. Any additional extension will be assessed as the expiration date of Sept. 11 approaches.

As explained in the extension, it is effective immediately and shall remain in effect until the end of the emergency (as defined in 49 CFR § 390.5T) or until 11:59 p.m. (ET), September 11, 2026, whichever is earlier.
